[ As days turn into months, Fai feels like he settles into a routine. He gets a job at a nearby coffee shop simply so he has something to do, and then he comes home and cooks dinner. Sometimes on his days off, he stops by Itaru's work and drops off a lunch. But for the most part, Fai takes this time to relax and enjoy the city. It's refreshing to not have some sort of impending danger looming over him, so he feels as if he's no longer carrying around all the tension that he got so used to holding.

It's nice. Very, very nice.

Having so much time to do as he pleases also means that Fai is knowledgeable on just about everything going on in their vicinity. This knowledge is what has him leading Itaru to a surprise location, his arm hooked around Itaru's own. ]

Ah, we're almost there!

[ They come upon a retro-style arcade with a large banner out front touting their grand opening. Despite its appearance, most of the games inside are the latest and greatest, and they sit alongside a lot of old classics.

Fai turns to Itaru, grinning. ]

Today is their opening day! They're letting whoever comes in have free reign over the games—no coins needed!

[ it's been wild ever since itaru had announced that he'd gotten into a relationship. that maybe one day he'll wake up from this reverie or something. but nope -- fai is real, he had to explain to mankai how they'd even met, and fend off the allegations from his workmates whenever fai drops by his office for lunch.

but aside from that, it's been normal and enjoyable so far. and when fai drags him out for a surprise, itaru at first didn't know what his bf has up his sleeve. it's not until the arcade comes into view that his eyes start to sparkle. it's as if he's a kid again, but then again when has he stopped? ]

F-Fai...

[ his voice is shaking. it's as if he's about to cry?? he tightly grasps fai's hand. ]

You're so cool. You're the coolest boyfriend ever. Holy shit.

[ His excitement is precious... While Fai would never tell Itaru that to his face, he will absolutely think it. So that's exactly what he does as he squeezes Itaru's hand. ]

Of course I am~ You know I keep my eyes peeled for anything I think you might like popping up.

[ That's not something he has told Itaru before, but with the way Fai is, he figures that's obvious. ]

I heard some customers talking about it. They've got all kinds of new games, but they save space for the classics too. That way, you can get your fill of both!
